Humans give birth to live young. Another prerequisite of being a mammal is that the females have mammary glands. Humans in particular fall into the "placental" group of mammals.
All mammals have backbones, hair, sweat glands in both sexes, mammary glands in females, and a brain that includes a neocortex. If you have these things, you're a mammal.
