Why am I itchy all over?

What could be wrong with me? There's no rash, I'm just really itchy and I don't know why.

There are many reasons why you are itching. Common causes are eczema, allergic reactions, bed bugs, diabetes, shaving, or even an extreme change in environment. There are also some psychiatric disorders associated with extreme itching

You are more than likely using something you are allergic to. It could be anything from make-up to soap to something like your water softer. You might even want to change your detergent.

You could be allergice to the material of your clothing. Some people get allergic reactions to synthetic material such as vinyl, lycra, microfiber, suede, etc. If the itching goes away, it could have been due to chemicals used to treat the material, or the actual material itself.

Firstly, check that you have not changed shampoo or washing machine soap since your skin may be irritated by it. Secondly, it might be that you are having an allergic reaction to an animal, the weather or a new food you were exposed to recently.
