You should first consult a counselor which will evaluate you and refer you to a psychologist. Where in the psychologist will give you a few therapeutic conversations and assess whether you need a deeper further psychiatric help, if you do then you will be referred to a psychiatrist. This will depend on how depressed you are.

You should see your primary care physician first. After reviewing your symptoms, your doctor can determine an accurate diagnosis of your depression and help you formulate a treatment plan. He may then recommend an antidepressant drug, or a psychiatrist or counselor to talk to, depending on the severity of your depression.

First, you should talk to your medical doctor to rule out any physical causes for your problem. He/She can prescribe a mild anti-depressant to see if it helps. This can take a few days before any results are visible. If this doesn't help, you should see a psychologist to find the cause, such as situational or mental.
