Crystal Gayle, a country-western singer who is Loretta Lynn's sister, probably had the longest hair in show business. Television appearances showed that her hair reached below her knees. Crystal Gayle is known as the singer with the longest hair. When she performs she stands with her back to the audience and sways back and forth so that the audience can see her hair which almost touches the ground. She was orginally a country singer but made the crossover to pop in the early 1980's.
