The first ligitimate video game ever created was called "Tennis for Two" made by William Higinbotham on 1958, which was way before electronic ping pong and pacman was created. Though it was Higinbotham who had the idea of creating the game, he needed the help of Brookhaven Lab's Instrumentation Division in order to acutally make the game.
