Usain Bolt has the world record for the 100 meter dash. He set it in Berlin, Germany on August 16, 2009 at a time of 9. 58 seconds. That time is. 11 seconds faster then the previous 100 meter record. Which was also set by Usain Bolt at the Beijing Olympics.

He upped his mark during the Beijing Olympics setting the new world record at 9. 69 seconds,breaking his record of 9. 72 seconds set in may 2008. He again setting a world record of 9. 58 seconds by beating his own record at Berlin IAAF championship.
