DeMille is fairly prolific. If ten people were asked to name a favorite, it is likely there would be ten different titles. "Gold Coast" and "Plum Island" are perennial favorites and sell well. Once a reader starts with DeMille, he is likely to be a huge fan and read everything the author has to offer.

The "Gold Coast" and "Up Country" are two of the most critically acclaimed of Nelson DeMille's books, I would start with those.

TO be honest I am having a hard time choosing between three of his books. The books are The Lion, Wild Fire and Word of Honor. All three are amazing.

I love a good mafia story, Nelson DeMille's 'The Gate House' is an excellent read and a nice dip into DeMille's writing style with a story that builds character you can care about.

For me, my favourite would have to be Word of Honour. I thought the flashback scenes to Vietnam were so vivid and dramatic

I like Wild Fire best out of Demile's books. It is about a nuclear bomb threat, its up to date and exciting.
