I would suggest digital cable. If your satellite dish is in the wrong spot, and it is covered by trees then your picture will be very choppy. Bad weather also has a big effect on satellite TV.

Digital cable is definitely better than satellite. During storms, the satellite picture messes up and then you are left without television. If you have digital cable though there is less of a chance that you will lose picture and you are able to record shows up to four at a time.

Satellite television can always offer you more channels but you are in danger of having service interrupted in a storm. However, digital cable cannot be interrupted in a storm, but you will not get as many channels as on satellite.

Satellite is better for people who live outside of major centers. Digital cable is superior to satellite in that it is not affected by bad weather. Digital cable also gives you access to extra features such as "video on demand" that may not be available on satellite.

I find that digital cable is better. They have a wider selection of channels, that allow more variety for your viewing pleasure.

I am a big fan of digital cable--all the same channels, less cost. Satellite can be interrupted by clouds; it only makes sense to pay more if you want HD.
