Where should I hang a bluebird house?

Fence posts or large older trees are best place to hang. Use open areas in order to avoid attack of other birds and squirrels. We can choose area where grass grows up to 2 inches. Make them facing eastern direction to warm them. Hang the house at eye level. To check the house regularly place a nail at the top.

You can hang a bluebird house on a freestanding post. If you try to hang it on your house or a tree then predators like cats and racoons can get to them.
