Where is the timing pointer location for a 350 Chevy engine?

The timing marks on this engine are on the timing cover. You need to lean over the front and look between the water pump and the timing cover. The zero degree mark will be the largest notch (V). There is a groove on the front pulley to line up with the marks. You may need to clean the indicator.

On any chevy it is going to be located on the motor, directly above the crankshaft so it can be seen easily with a timing light.

It should be located on the front of the engine attached to the timing cover. It should be a small tab wit a couple of v-notches in it.
