Where is the fuel filter in a Chevy truck?

Depending on what year your truck is the location will vary. Some model have an in tank filter while other have an inline one. Either look online at a auto-parts site to find it or buy a repair manual to see exactly where it is located.

The fuel filter is located on the fuel lines between the fuel pump and the engine bay under the truck. Check near the rear axle before the lines run up.

referring to fullsize trucks, if it has one it will be somewhere on the inside of the left frame rail. newer than '04 there is no fuel filter to change

It depends on the year and model truck. On most carburated models, the filter will be near the engine. On most fuel injected models, it will be near the gas tank.
