The crankshaft position sensor is located on or in the distributor. If your sensor is bad it is best to replace the entire distributor.

It is located inbetween the engine and the transmission really close to the seam where the two meet. it will be on the transmission side of the seam. It has three wires coming off of it with a paper style gasket seperating it from the transmission.

The sensor is located internally inside the block but you can remove it from the outside as the sensor wires are connected outside the block.

Not knowing more I can only suggest where it could be. Look to the center rear engine low on the driver side of the block. It's mounted on cylinder block
