Where is a Sunfire transmission's dipstick location?

On a 3 speed 2. 2L, dipstick will be in the middle, near the windshield. It's red with an 'O' shaped handle. On a 4 speed 2. 2L or 2. 4L, there is none. It has a check plug above the pan. It's recommended to be only checked when there is a leak.

Open the car up nice and wide as to expose the engine, grab the anti-lock brake system at about where you feed the brake fluid, and take a good and hard look about a foot and a half down.

The dipstick comes up just above the pan in the transmission casing to the back of the engine bay. It will probably be colored yellow and will be a little further down than the oil dipstick.

In order to answer your question I have to know what year model is the Sunfire you are referring about. Because there are models of Sunfire that do not use a dipstick for the transmission. Instead, it has a fill bolt were you just pour in until fluid overflows to achieve proper level.
