Old World Monkeys are those which originate from countries west of the Atlantic Ocean (i.e. Europe/ Asia), as opposed to New World Monkeys which originate from east of the Atlantic Ocean (i.e. North and South America)

The Old World monkeys live in South and East Asia, the Middle East and Africa. Their homes are made in the mountains, the jungles and the rain forests according to the type of species. There are at least 78 species of Old World monkeys. The Old World monkeys have tails and the New World monkeys don't.
