Crabeater Seals live all the way down south in the Antarctic Region. Even though this is where they are sighted most they are sometimes rarely seen in other areas. Some of the other areas they are seen in are: South America, New Zeland, Australlia, and Africa. They spend their time on the ice pack zones in Antarctica.

They are most abundant around Antarctica. They don't actually eat crabs, but filter krill with teeth shaped to this purpose. They are expert in water, but not on land, relying on rolling and wiggle-walking. They utilize ice floes to escape from predators like leopard seals and killer whales.
