Camels live in Africa, the Middle East, and in Asia. While they are in many deserts, they do not live in every one. Most camels are considered domestic.

There are two types of camels, the first the bactrian camel is found in the desserts of eastern and northern Asia. The second is the Arabian, which is found in the Arabian dessert. A small group was placed the American southwest, where they still remain.
