Consult the owner's manuel for anything that requires resetting or manipulating the computer board on any motorized equipment. The timimg belt may need to be replaced if it is not capturing properly. Remove the computer component that is located on the side panel of the lawn mower to see if one of the fuses is burnt.

The Kohler main website can have information on these lawnmowers as they would have PDFs that you can download or read online of the manuals for each product. You could also look up the 12hp lawnmower in your garden supply shop and see if they have any books on it.

You can find this information at the Kohler website. They have a list of manuals and settings for their products which are PDF files that you can either download or view off their website. Or you can check in some retail outlets for manuals where you can purchase hard copies.

They probably already gave you an instruction manual, containing that information. Look up timing in the index and see if it's there.
