The White Mountains are a range of mountain peaks located in the Northeastern part of the United States. To find this range on an old map of the original thirteen colonies, one would look in the area of New Hampshire and Maine. The White Mountains cover most of New Hampshire.

On a modern U.S. map, the White Mountains are mostly in New Hampshire, and extending to Maine. Before independence, New Hampshire was a colony and Maine was part of Massachusetts.
