When were the Marines corps introduced?

I would like some history on the Marine Corps.

The Marines were authorized by the Continental Congress in 1775 and formally established in 1796. The USMC has a special website dedicated to a detailed history of the Corps.

The United States Marine Corp. was officially founded on November tenth 1775 by Captain Samuel Nicholas in the formation of two battalions which made up the Continental Marines. The Marines are regarded as Naval Infantryman, but should not be confused with Naval sailors.

Nov 10, 1775 is remembered as the Birthday of the United States Marine Corps, the united states marine corps is actually part of the United States Navy. Not to be confused with the Navy Seals or the United States Army. An interesting point the marine corps soldiers are known as "First in First out. "

The Marine Corps was formed November 10,1775. Early jobs performed by the Marines included shipboard security during boarding actions,protecting ships officers,and landing raid type actions.
