The telephone was invented in 1879 on May the 12th by a man named Alaxander Graham Belle. Mr. Belle was born on March 3, 1847, in Edinburgh, Scotland and died on August 2, 1922, at Baddeck, Nova Scotia, Canada. The first complete sentence ever spoken over a telephone was "Watson, come here. I want you."

Alexander Graham Bell is given credit for the invention of the modern telephone, in 1876. Check into it more, it's a really interesting story.

The Telephone was invented on March 10, 1876 by Alexander Graham Bell. The history of the telephone is very complex, and is still evolving today.
