It is recommended to fertilize in October, using a 3-1-2 or a 4-1-2 formula. Wait approximately a month before you fertilize newly sown grass. Floratam thrives with a high nitrogen level fertilizer.

Usually two weeks after planting and then every six weeks or so until the grass becomes established. Then a spring and fall feeding is generally enough.

you should fertilize floratam as soon as you plant it. mix the fertilizer up with the normal soil after you do this your plants/grass should grow a lot better. every few years i would fertilize the floatam again this will keep it growing very good and it will still have good color
