Normally, if you have regular periods, it stops when you become pregnant. after giving birth to a baby, you start breast feeding. Your period may start at any time once you stopped your breast feeding. It varies from person to person. The advice of a Gynaecologist is always advisible.

If you are using birth control, it depends on the kind you are using. If you continue on the mini-pill it could take 3 months, which is most common.

Breastfeeding alone does not keep your period away. It is normal to get a period while breastfeeding. You will get your period once you start to ovulate again maybe in a few weeks if you haven't already.

Every woman is different and every doctor will tell you this. It is always best to consult your physician with any questions you may have pertaining to this matter. You may start right away, a few days later, or even a few months. There is never an exact time you will start your period after you stop breastfeeding.
