When should I prune fuschias?

I have several fushia house plants that need to be trimeed but I know that if you do so during the wrong time of the year that you will damage the plant.

In general I'd say plants are difficult for most novices to handle. You should either consult a skilled botanist, or at the very least pick up a "Plants for Dummies" book. There are a lot of different plant types to identify. Most plants are unique in their characteristics, and there's no easy answer here.

What you need to do is take them to your local greenhouse and ask them if they will show you how to do it and they will be able to tell you the very best time of year to prune them so they will thrive and not be harmed they are usually very helpful.

Always wait to prune your fuschias after the worry of frost and passed and temperatures warm to at least 55 degrees each day. Water your plant after pruning and then fertilize.
