Ususally when they have urinary tract infections/diseases such as crystals. It also helps promote bladder health and prevents bladder stones. It could also be used to help with blood pressure as it's low salt. Could possibly be used with skin/coat problems since it's rich with fatty acids.

It is normally prescribed in combination with medication for uniary problems. The food has a protien in it that allows the system to break down the food easier and is very good for older cats.

Hills C/D is prescribed to cats who have been diagnosed with urinary tract issues, most commonly urine crystals. It is meant to prevent the formation of crystals by making the urine more acidic. It is recommended that cats only eat a canned diet especially when urinary tract issues are present.
