It's never too late for a dog to be healthy. With proper care any dog can go from being in terrible shape to being completely healthy. Get the dog vet care and give her plenty of love.

Living in a shelter is extremely stressful for dogs, but shelters typically won't allow a too-sick animal to be adopted. Intestinal parasites, matted fur, ear mites, kennel cough, colds, diarrhea and stomach problems are common. Most of these are treatable. With TLC and time, your dog should regain health.

The dog might never be one hundred percent healthy, but you can always try to nurse him back to health. You would be suprised at how a little love and affection can make a dog healthier. Make sure to give him a good dog food, and take him to the vet for a full exam.

It's never too late the best thing you can do for her is love her that will give her more reason to get better than anything else you can do.
