It sounds like you have a dead battery, alternator, or both. I would take the vehicle to any auto parts store. They can test each system for free to make sure each is functioning correctly.

Either a bad starter, ignition switch, or an electrical problem. Try this have car in park remove key in off position move glove box key push skinny button on top.

If nothing happens you probably have a bad starter, or on a newer model it could also be an electrical problem. Don't try to fix electrical yourself on a Mercedes.

You're going to need to replace the ignition most likely, as it probably went out. It might even be your fuse box has busted. Check the fuse, if that fails replace the ignition.

It might be the sgnition switch, you need to get a new one. Mine was doing the samething. It needs a new ignition switch.

Put the ignition key back in the switch turn it back and forth before starting it. Then see what it'll do. Try this one, remove main key in the off position and make sure car is in park, remove glove box key push skinny button on top and should release.

You first need to check the battery to make sure it is charged and in good condition. Most likely this is the problem.
