There are a lot of factors that could influence this, like how sensitive your skin is, how fast you heal, or even the level of humidity in the air. I've had tattoos take a month to stop itching. Keep it moist, and don't scratch! Slap it if it itches. Taking an antihistamine could help, too.

When your tattoo itches it's because it is healing. Depending on the size, your tattoo will be fully healed between 2 weeks and a month. The bigger the tattoo, the longer the healing. Two things to remember is not to scratch (or you will damage your tattoo) and keep moisturized so it will itch less and heal faster.

The itching will go away soon. A great way to prevent itching in the fist place is keep it clean and lubricated. All of the itching sensation you are gettting is because your tattoo is dry.

Usually the itching stops within a couple of weeks. As long as it does not swell or turn red, you should be fine. This is just a reaction to the ink. Using lotion regularly will help with the itching.

I got mine not long ago and It iches really badly. Keep lotion on it and it will be fine. It will keep you from wanting to scratch it all the time. Don't let Things rub against it or that will also damge it.

A tattoo should generally stop itching in 2 weeks or so. This should be enough time for any scabbing to have fallen off. Its the scabs that make it itch.
