The police can pull you over for going more than five miles over the speed limit, regardless of the speed limit. They can also pull you over if they suspect distracted driving (like a cell phone) or reckless driving.

This depends on where you are speeding. Police are more likely to pull you over for minor speeding in areas where there is a lot of foot traffic. Generally, police most often pull you over when you are going over 5 miles over on regular roads and 10 miles over on the freeway.

most police officers will pull you over only if your more than 5 miles over the limit. other reasons they pull you oer is either running red lights or stop signs, making illegal passes or a u-turn in a zone where its posted that you cant make a u-turn, making illegal left turns things like that.
