Talk to your pediatrician at your child's well-baby visits. Some kids start out as early as 4 months and some later, towards six. It has to do with how your baby is developing.

Current recommendation says to start semi-solid foods like cereal mixed with formula or breast milk, pulpy fruits, and steamed and mashed vegetables when your baby is 6 months of age.

You can usually start your baby on rice cereal at 4months of age. Around 6months you can start vegetables or fruits,Feed one at a time in case baby is allergic.

Usually the doctor doesn't want a baby to eat foods until he is six months old because foods are harsh to a young child's system.

You can start a child on semisolid foods at age six months. However, they must be able to sit up right unassisted before you start.

A baby can start eating solid foods between 4-6 months. The easiest thing to do is to introduce only one new item at a time starting with infant cereal.

Start introducing new foods when the baby is 6 months old. Doctors are saying that 4 months old is too early and causing digestive or allergy problems later in life
