Your Golden Retriever puppy does not have to stay in his crate all night if you are sure he is housebroken. Leave him out for a few hours at night and then take him outside. Decrease the time he spends in the crate until he lets you know, when out of the crate, when he has to do his business.

It is a good idea to wait until your puppy is house trained before leaving him/her out of the crate all night. This usually does not occur until the puppy is at least 6 months old.

That depends on the dog. Some adult dogs can't be trusted not to destroy whatever they can. Maybe you could try the dog out of his crate in a small room where he can be confined but also free. Just make sure when he is let out that you puppy proof his surroundings.

Well golden Retriever puppy's aren't the easiest dogs to look after but i think that is safe to say you can let the doggy out of his crate all night after 2 months old.

Even if your puppy is ready to be out all night you still should leave the door open because he may like to go in there to sleep. Crates actually make the dog feel safe because it's like a little cave. Only let your pup out once he starts peeing and pooping outside and has very few accidents.
