When a tuning fork vibrates over an open pipe and the air in the pipe starts to vibrate, what causes the vibration in the tube?

Every time you place a tuning fork over a tube the air inside the tube vibrates. When the length of the tube matches up with some multiple of the wave of vibration the vibration amplifies and the tube itself starts to vibrate.
