What's wrong if can't shift out of park on my 2003 Altima?

You have to change the gear box fluid. This fluid gets dirty if you burn low-quality gasoline in your car. It has to be changed occasionally, but if you only use high-quality gas, it should last a lifetime.

Check all your fuses with a test light and if that isn't it then check your brake light switch. There is also a relay to release the shifter.
