While they are both migraines they do have different symptoms. With the basilar migraines you're going to notice auras, or blurring of your vision and dizziness. With the hemiplegic you will get some paralysis / sensory disturbances on one side of your body.

Basilar migraines usually affect the entire head and will affect the body equally on both sides. Symptoms may be dizziness, nausea, light sensitivity. Hemiplegic migraines are located on one side of the head and usually mimic a stroke by affecting primarily one side of the body with the same symptoms as basilar but as severe as temporary paralysis.
