Popular to contrary belief, Smirnoff Ice does not contain vodka. It is a considered a beer because it is brewed with malts and citrus. However, in some countries outside the U. S. it does contain vodka.

According to the Smirnoff Ice website, it's a malt beverage (beer) with citrus flavoring. The U. S. version doesn't contain vodka. There is vodka in versions sold elsewhere in the world.

Smirnoff Ice is a sweetened mixture of vodka, sugar, and lemon-lime soda. The flavored versions have fruit juice in place of the lemon-lime soda. Smirnoff Ice is 11 proof, which makes it 5. 5% alcohol by volume. One bottle has 228 calories and 32 grams of carbs while the light version has 110 calories and 11 grams of carbs.

It's a drink which is comprised of Vodka (mostly), which goes down extremely smooth, and is a very popular drink. Be careful though, as it's difficult to detect the alcohol!

Smirnoff ice is an alcholic beverage. It is made from it's own bottling company, and is a drink based on taste more so than percent alcohol.

I have a new question. I am not allowed citrus products prior to a medical test. I had a Smirnoff ice (one). Based on lemon-lime soda or fruit juice....do I need to delay my test?
