Swab the area with rubbing alcohol. Sterilize a fine point needle by putting the end in the flame of a gas stovetop burner. Remove splinter, using a magnifying glass to see it if necessary. You may need another person to hold the magnifying glass. Use a topical antibiotic, like Polysporin,

Fibergalss is very tiny splinters of glass so applying the sticky side of duct tape to the painful area and pulling off slowly can remove them. Or soak fingers in a solution of epsom salts and warm water for about 30 minutes.

Locate the area and pull out any visible splinters with tweezers. If the splinter is embedded in the finger you need to soak your hand in warm to hot water with a large amount of salt in the water. This will draw the splinter out along with any infection it might have caused.

Get the finger under cold running water, this will lessen the pain and irritation of the fiberglass splinters. Next, get a washcloth, and rub it away from the direction of the splinters. This is important. Rubbing away will slowly pull them out, rubbing towards them drives them in deeper. This may need to be done several times.
