The best one I have found is where you take a 2 litre soda bottle and you cut the slits in it for the birds to eat out of the you put skewers through so they have something to stand on and you use the top of the bottle to put the seed in.

One of the easiest bird feeder crafts requires a good size pinecone, peanut butter, string, and bird seed. Tie the string tightly around the top few tabs of the pinecone. Using a small butter knife or your finger put a little bit of peanut between the tabs of the pinecone. Roll in bird seed and it is ready to hang.

Take a 16oz water bottle.Poke two holes on either side directly across from each other on the top and also on the bottom. Now you will have four holes. Take some wooden spoons and push through the holes on each side, widen the hole on the spoon side. The spoon will fill with bird seed. Tie string to the top.

Use a old round 'oatmeal' container. take it apart and laminate it then wrap it and tie it together with zip ties. Put a base on it made from the plastic lid, cut holes in the sides and fill it with bird seed.
