Odor from the ear is a sign of infection. The dog may also shake his head or scratch at the ear. If you see these signs, contact a vet.

Your dog could have an ear infection with bacteria or a yeast infection. Both have a bad odor. Your dog could also have ear mites. You should take the dog to a veterinarian.

It's very possible that your dog has an ear infection. You should take him/her to the vet so they can give you some medicine.

If your dog's ears smell bad it is most likely caused by an infection in the ear or by the ears being dirty in the ear. You can either try an ear cleaning solution that you can get at the pet store. Or you can take the dog to the vet and they can clean them or give you antibiotics.
