What would be a good design for a circus cake? What elements should be included?

A great one would be a merry go round with little clowns riding it. It would also be pretty simple to make. Or just a regluar square cake with two sticks holding a tight wire over it.

I think if you just took a regular cake and put some circus themed toys on it, like elephants, clowns, lions, etc. Get some cloth and make a tent with skewers and place over the cake. The cake itself would be the arena where the circus acts occur.

A great design for a circus cake would be a cake with an elephant on top. Using a cake mix, bake a regular round cake. Then ice the cake with white icing. Print your elephant picture from the Internet and trace the outline in blue on top of the cake. Add a small flag in his trunk.

A cool design would be to make the circus floor, complete with sugar, chocolate or plastic figurines of the ringmaster, clowns and typical circus animals.
