There are many words that are commonly used in African-American culture. These words are mainly dependent upon where the person lived though. For example, calling a boy "young" is common in DC, where "son" is common in other cities. In rural areas "boy" is more common.

Alot of the same words used in other cultures are used in African-American culture. The words are the same but the meaning may differ. Some examples are tight, and cool, meaning the same thing. Another popular term is "hater". "Hater" is a discouraging, negative individual, who engages in derogatory talk.
