A white blood cell count, sometimes called leukocyte count or white count, is often ordered by a physician because it can help determine if a patient has an infection, an inflammation, or even an allergy. The normal range for a healthy person's white blood cell count is 4,300 to 10,800 cells per cubic millimeter.

At the hospital I work at, we use 3,000 to 10,000 per micoliter. Anything below 3,000 we consider the patient is at risk for getting an infection they can not fight, and we put them in protective isolation. Over 10,000 is usually an indication of an infectious process.

Blood cell count in our body should be more than one lac, from which we can know the blood circulation is good and our blood is without any germs or else have to consult the doctor with the report from which he will advise us what type of treatment should be taken.

The normal WBC range is 4. 3 - 10. 8 x 10^9 cells per liter. A lab may also report in units of 4,300-10,800 cells per cubic millimeter of blood.
