You can listen to the New Wave scene : The Cure (Disintegration is the most pop album , with the song lullaby) Joy Division OMD Billy Idol They are good 80's pop Rock band too : U2 The Clash Queen Listen to the 80's album of David Bowie which are really good!

Some of my favorites would be the Bangles, the Cure, Culture Club, and Devo. Of course, there are those big solo artists-- Madonna, Michael Jackson, Prince, and Debbie Gibson. I like rock a little more, so I can't not include the Clash here.
