Easiest answer: watch the Wedding Singer. Hot colors (as in neon or day-glo variety) paired with black, leggings, big hair, etc. Lots and lots of accessories like lace gloves, plastic bracelets, big bold earrings. Animal prints were all the rage as well. High waisted pants with skinny ankles, and dark sunglasses that covered half the face.

Big; big hair, big shirts, big make-up, big jewelry, big pouffy skirts, high top shoes (that light up) with several socks. The more neon the colors the better. Denim jackets and lace also come to mind.

Lots of neon colors. Umm Brite bright spandex tights and off the shoulder sweaters were popular during the 80's. Also bug hair styles
