What was clothing like in the 1500s?

Was there a big difference from country to country?

Unlike today, there was no globalization, so every country or region had a different style of dress. In Europe men generally wore heeled shoes, wigs, petticoats, and leggings. In africa the dress was more casual due to the heat & elements. In Japan both men and women wore Kimonos.

Clothing in the 1500s mainly consisted of leather and nudity. The North Americans wore leather clothing to make hunting and every day living experiences easier. To save clothing and make life more comfortable people mostly wore no clothing. If you had to have clothing for that time period, you would go with leather coverings.
