the state with cheapest property taxes is nevada with Zero taxes and not a bad climate to boot, also arkansas comes close with 88% of the national average. Nevada does have high rents thou. you wouldn't go wrong in NC,SC, Texas or Georgia.you could check the national cencus website for more info.

what about school taxes and/or home owner insurance??? Both are required in your escrow when purchasing a home in TX. My taxes & insurance are $650 month while my mortgage is only $435..... go figure that out !!! I have 5% interest rate and live in TX. wanting to retire elsewhere
