What temperature should your engine be when you stop?

I think mine is running hot.

Most late model vehicles run at 195F. You will see as high as 210-220F on hot days when you are using the AC or towing. After your engine has been stopped the temperature can rise from the normal operating temperature. Due to the fact that the coolant is not circulating.

the normal temperature for the engine is arround 195 to 220 degrees Farenheit if it higer than that the u should take to a certified mechanic for him to perform a revision, engine heating can affect the engine performance and even damage it by destroying the rings that the piston have.
