What temperature kills fleas?

Answer by  HawaiianGirl (6906)

Fleas like the heat which is why you notice them more in the summer months. I would assume taht they will not survive in freezing temperatures.

Raising the temperature to 90 degrees will kill fleas and definately worth leaving home for awhile! Dehumidifiers can keep the humidity in your home at 70 per cent or less, therefore, eliminating them. They usually survive cold winter temperatures unless below freezing. If your humidity is 75-85 per cent and your temperature 65-80 degrees, the fleas will camp out indefinately.
