Tattoos are a process of applying inks and metallic pigments to a deeper layer of your skin so that when your skin is shed the pigments remain. Most tattoos involve many very tiny puncture wounds to transmit the dyes to this deeper level.

Well coloring is done similar to shading where ink is added with a large croup of needles rather that with a single needle like used in doing line work.

Tattoos are colored similar to how the line-work is done. The only real difference is that the tattoo gun used has more needles. This helps to cover a broader area with the colored ink.
