Put them in a mixture of shorter flowers such as pansies or petunias with the Black-eye susans in the back. They will probably mix well with wild flowers or even hostas in front.

Black-Eyed Susans are easy to grow and maintain so they are an excellent choice for landscaping. They grow well in containers or when planted in the ground either in a flower bed or along landscaping borders. In the spring or fall, plant flowers in clusters where they will receive full sun.

Just make sure you place the plants in an area with about 50% shade and sunlight and that they are fertilized the first growing season.

Black-Eyed Susans make a delightful addition to any landscape. They have the most impact when planted in clumps. Be sure to place them behind flowers that won't grow as tall.

Black Eyed Susans grow very tall so you can put them into a rock garden and also intertwine them with traditional daisies or a bed of hostas looks nice too.
