What strings get what acoustic guitar string gauge?

Anywhere between .010 and .055 would be fine. .010 obviously being the lightest you would want to go and .055 being the heaviest you would want to go. Strings come packaged for acoustics in the store though.

It really depends on how "heavy" you want the strings. heavy strings are louder, thin ones are easier to bend. For an acoustic guitar, a medium gauge set of strings would likely have the following thicknesses, beginning with the top E - 0.013inch, B - 0.017, g - 0.026, d - 0.036, a - 0.046, e - 0.056
