Plants that grow in a terrarium are plants that are succulents like jade plants and aloe vera. Ferns and ivy are also good for this humid environment. Orchids, begonias, and prayer plants are also good because they are tropical plants that like humidity and warm temperatures. Swedish ivy and venus fly traps are two other options as well.

Small slow growing plants are best suited for terrarium gardens. The selection of plants should compliment each other for the best growing environment.
